Literati Book Fair at Coolidge!
Book Fair Update
This year Coolidge is bringing in a new vendor for the book fair! Literati is coming to our school on October 9th and 10th! Students will shop during the day with their classes and parents can join in on the shopping fun during our evening hours on October 9th. You can attend the evening PTO meeting AND book shop on October 9th, how cool is that?!
Online shopping is live at https://literati.com/store. You can browse all books, check pricing, purchase Digital Gift Cards (similar to a Digital Wallet from Scholastic where your child can use this money to shop at the in person book fair and online), and purchase teacher wish list books! Below you can find direct links to teacher and staff wish lists. All books purchased from the wish will be sent directly to Coolidge. If you’d like to buy a book for a teacher or staff member that isn’t listed, please contact your class parent, Erin Roe @ [email protected] or Ashley Mungiello @ [email protected].

- Volunteering is EASY! We've streamlined the process even further! Plus, there will be an assigned 5th grade representative who will act as manager, volunteering alongside you. Lunchtime volunteering is a great opportunity to help out, and also meet new people in the community. Plus, it's an opportunity to see your kids while they're still excited to see you!

Golf Outing
Let's swing into a great school year and come join us on the greens for the 7th Annual Coolidge PTO Golf Outing on Wednesday October 16th, 2024 at The Club at Mansion Ridge in Monroe, NY. (Please note date and venue change) We are excited to once again host this fun outing to bring together members of our community.

Harvest Fest Committee Announcements
The Coolidge School PTO annual HARVEST FESTIVAL is back and will be held on Thursday, October 24th after school from 3:20-4:30pm! (Rain date is October 25th) Click here to to volunteer for this fun event. This is a great opportunity to get involved in a school event! We’ll need volunteers to run games & craft stations, sell pumpkins, and help with the bake sale. If you can’t be there that day, there are other ways to get involved! We’ll need lots of pumpkin decorators and people to donate cider and treats for the bake sale!
So please consider donating your time or talents and help us make this a great event!
Economy Shop
We had an amazing opening week at the Economy Shop! Thank you for all your donations and thank you for filling the volunteer shifts! If you’d like to volunteer please sign up here Economy Shop Volunteer Sign Up. Coolidge week is October 22 to 26th! You can sign up for any shift all year, but Coolidge is responsible for filling the week of the 22nd so start there if you can.
The Economy Shop continues its hunt for two new Co-Presidents. The shop will remain open until December under its current leadership, but will then close unless we find two new Co- Presidents to lead us into the new year. Ambassador Sign Ups and Walk & Roll to School Day Information
Green Ambassador Sign Up!
The Coolidge Green Team’s Mission is to foster a respect for nature and our environment. Meeting activities include gardening, recycling, sustainability lessons, earth-friendly crafts and community service. If your child is interested, please sign them up here: Green Team Sign Up
Each student will be invited to attend 2-3 after-school meetings, per year, for their grade. Meetings are from 3:20-4:10. 5th Grade Green Ambassadors will be invited to every meeting. All registered PTO parent volunteers are welcome to assist at any of our meetings. For our new Kindergarten parents, you do not need to attend the meetings. Your child will be escorted to the MPR Garden at dismissal and you will pick your child up from the MPR doors at 4PM.

Walk & Roll to School Day Information
Our first school-wide Green Team event is Coolidge's Annual Walk to School Day on Wednesday, October 2.
- Get some fresh air and leave your car behind!
- Walk or bike to school to get some exercise and reduce traffic and air pollution!
- Students will be greeted by the Cougar and some music upon their arrival on this fun kick-off to the school day!
Fun Idea: Reach out to your friends and neighbors to create a "Walking School Bus" from your neighborhood. Don't forget about friends that live too far to walk, or are unable to walk with their child(ren). Invite them to be dropped off at your house so they can walk too.
