If Friday’s earthquake wasn’t enough for you, the Coolidge PTO is providing a weekend update of seismic proportions! Please read on for a newsletter that’s jam packed with info about the Wizards game, new YMCA after school programs, Theme Day, the plant sale, and more!

Harlem Wizards Game- Thank you!
Thank you to our All-Star Coolidge teachers and staff for participating in the Harlem Wizards game last Thursday evening! They showed off their basketball (and dancing!) skills, helped raise money for the Wyckoff PTO Coordinating Council, and created wonderful memories for our children. Seeing the kids sing, dance, and cheer for the staff was just incredible. Thank you to Sammi Eletto for helping to organize the event, and all of the Coolidge parents who volunteered at the game!

Our workshop leaders, planning committee, and volunteers have worked hard to bring this day to life, and we’re so appreciative for their time and effort! Many thanks to the Coolidge School staff for their guidance and support! We’re looking forward to a great Theme Day this Friday!
Plant Sale – Last Call for Orders
Order your plants by this Thursday, April 11th and be ready for Mother’s Day! Give yourself the gift of not running around at the last minute for flowers! There are beautiful hanging baskets, potted flowers, potted and annual mixed herbs and annual flats. Such a great selection and your purchase will benefit Coolidge School PTO!
*All sales over $100 will receive free drop off at their home- Wyckoff delivery only*

May Dinner: Event Info and Tricky Tray Ticket Orders
Our annual May Friendship Dinner will take place on May 9, 2024 at the Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes. If you didn’t receive the invitation in your inbox, please click here.

Economy Shop- Town Wide Garage Sale
Our LAST week of the year to fill the Economy Shop with Coolidge volunteers is April 30 to May 4. Please use the link below to sign up to volunteer that week.

Thank you so much for your donations, your time, and all your support with the Economy Shop. The Economy Shop has donated $9,000 to Coolidge thus far this year with one check to go. All your hard work is paying off!
Don’t forget to register for the Town Wide Garage Sale on Saturday, May 18th. 100% of the $15 registration fee comes back to Wyckoff Schools. With registration you get your address on the master map that day. A great way to clean out those basements and support our schools!

Summer Academies
Summer Acadmies registration is open until June 1st at 8am. There are some awesome offerings this summer!

Summer Academies Volunteer Information
The Summer Academies volunteer application is available for this year. Volunteers must be entering 8th grade in September, or 9-12th grade, be a former Wyckoff K-8 student and they must be available for all weeks of the Summer Academies program.

Lunch Volunteers Needed on Mondays and Wednesdays
We appreciate the enthusiastic response to our call for lunch volunteers! We can use a few more parents to jump in and help out on Mondays and Wednesdays. All help is extremely appreciated!
Volunteers for 3-5th grade are especially needed on both days, so please consider taking the time to come help out.
YMCA After School Programs
The Wyckoff Family YMCA will offer a 5 week mini-session of two after-school programs at Coolidge. Please note that these programs are separate from the YMCA Aftercare program. Here’s the info and registration links:
ART CLUB – Wednesdays (beginning 5/8 thru 6/5): Explore color, shape, texture, and more through guided projects and freedom of expression! Participants develop their imagination and creativity to cultivate a stronger appreciation for the artistic process. Craft, design, create, and display your own work of art! $125
SCIENCE CLUB: Thursdays (beginning 5/9 thru 6/6) Join us for an hour of science exploration and discovery in the Wyckoff YMCA’s exciting after-school enrichment course designed just for elementary-aged scientists! Dive into hands-on experiments, electrifying demonstrations, and mind-bending challenges that spark curiosity and ignite a passion for discovery. Exploring the wonders of the natural world, each session promises an exhilarating journey through the realms of biology, chemistry, physics, and beyond. Get ready to unleash your inner scientist and embark on an unforgettable adventure where learning meets fun! $125
