Welcome back to a new school year! And welcome to all the new Coolidge families who are joining our school community! Please read on for important information about PTO lunch orders, a Fifth Grade Kick Off reminder, class parent sign ups, and more.

PTO Lunch Info

Thanks to everyone who’s submitted their lunch orders so far! The online stores for Wyckoff Pizza, Jersey Mikes, and Midland Park bagels will close this Sunday, September 8th at noon.

If you haven’t had the chance, please be sure to get your orders in.

There are no PTO lunch services on Monday, September 9th and Wednesday September 11th. Parents will need to send in a lunch from home on those days. 

 

Nicholas Markets will begin their lunch services next week. If your child would like Nicholas Markets lunch for Tuesday, September 10th, Thursday, September 12th and Friday, September 13th, please submit your order online by this Saturday, September 7th, at nmlunch.com

 

The first day for Midland Park Bagels and/or Jersey Mike’s is on Monday, September 16th.

 

The first day for Pizza and Ice Cream is on Wednesday, September 18th.

Reminder for Fifth Grade Families

Here’s a message from the Fifth Grade Committee:

Our Kick Off Event will be Thursday right after 1:05 dismissal. Please send your child in with lunch and cash for the ice cream truck ($3 - $5). Pick up is at 3pm by the MPR doors.

The lunch volunteer sign-up is active! PLEASE sign-up to help keep our Monday/Wednesday PTO-sponsored lunches a success!

And NEW this year - you can keep track of all your sign-ups, right on the PTO website! Click on your profile (on the upper right corner) and click on 'my signup receipts'! In addition, we will be sending reminder emails within 48 hours prior to your assigned day.

2. Volunteering is EASY!  We've streamlined the process even further!  Plus, there will be an assigned 5th grade representative who will act as manager, volunteering alongside you. Lunchtime volunteering is a great opportunity to help out, and also meet new people in the community.  Plus, it's an opportunity to see your kids while they're still excited to see you!

Reminders

Please pay your annual PTO membership dues and update your family profile in PTOffice. The information in your family profile will be printed in our Coolidge PTO directory, so please be sure to update your information by September 22nd.

First Coolidge PTO Meeting

The first PTO meeting of the year will take place next Thursday September 12th, and 9:15am in the MPR. The budget will be presented and voted on and provide an opportunity for all parents to hear about some of our upcoming events, like the Book Fair, Wizards Game, and even Theme Day. Child care will be provided.

The PTO Executive Board is excited to roll out a meeting schedule that better serves the needs of Coolidge families. This year, you can look forward to a combination of in-person, online, morning, and evening meetings. The schedule is listed below and will be available on our PTO Event Calendar.

Golf Outing Update

Let's swing into a great school year and come join us on the greens for the 7th Annual Coolidge PTO Golf Outing on Wednesday October 16th, 2024  at The Club at Mansion Ridge in Monroe, NY.    (Please note date and venue change)  We are excited to once again host this fun outing to bring together members of our community. We are actively looking for event sponsors and hole sponsors, please see attached sponsorship opportunities for more information .It's only $100 to sponsor a hole with your company or family logo proudly displayed at a tee on the golf course.  Come reserve your hole before they are all gone.

Literati Book Fair

Exciting news! The Literati Book Fair is coming to Coolidge this fall! Each purchase will benefit our school. More details will be shared in the coming weeks.

Coolidge is a Box Tops School!

Since Coolidge began participating in Box Tops we have earned over $11,000 for the school! Here are some important reminders and updates about the program.

No more cutting! Digital receipts are now accepted.

• Download the BoxTops App
• Use referral code OPH57EHN to help us get even more money for Coolidge.
• When you use the PTO referral code and scan your first receipt, you will earn additional money for our school!
• When you’re in the app, hit the “+” button labeled “Scan” at the bottom of the home screen. Select “Digital Receipt” from the list. Choose the retailer and follow the prompts.
• You can share your personal referral code with friends and family! Their purchases will help Coolidge too!
