Cougar Connect – October 27, 2024
Hello Coolidge PTO Families!
I hope you all enjoyed Harvest Fest this past Thursday. Thanks to our event chairs, Lorin and Marissa, and all of the Harvest Fest volunteers for their hard work! It was such a wonderful event for our community.
The Book Fair, School Lunches, the Golf Outing, and Harvest Fest kept us busy this month, but the work was well worth it. A huge thank you to the PTO volunteers who donate their time to help us out. Because of you, we’re able to raise money for our school, strengthen our community, and provide enriching opportunities for our kids. If you haven’t had a chance to volunteer yet, we’d love to have your help! We still need a few volunteers to lend a hand, especially at the Wizards game and the Economy Shop. The signups are listed below, along with other PTO updates and reminders.
Have a wonderful week!
A Message from the Harvest Fest Chairs
Thank you to all our volunteers who made Harvest Fest 2024 a huge success! A big congratulations to Luke Makowsky for having the closest guess for guess how many candy corn. He was awarded a Tons of Toys gift card. There were 801 candy corn in the container.
So many people came together to create a memorable event on a gorgeous fall day. A big thanks to Jon and Gina Doick for overseeing the pumpkin delivery again this year, the Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department Engine Co. 2 for letting us use their lot for pumpkin pickup, and to all the parents who did an incredible job at painting pumpkins!
Thanks to the event setup crew including Tina F, Amy G, Stefanie Z, Kristina W, and Michelle G, and many others. A big thanks to Andrea M, Lindsay K, Ariel G, Tara R, and Amy M for running pumpkin sales. Matt R. For DJing and coordinating the music with Mr. Cosman. The amazing balloon arch created by Meredith Dominguez. A big thanks to the Ramapo High School Interact club for helping with all the games and clean up. Economy Shop Update
Looking for that perfect Turkey platter or a new ladle for Thanksgiving? Or maybe you’re looking for a dress for your child or a Ralph Lauren button down? The place to shop this year for all things holiday- clothing, unique dish ware, or just holiday decorations- is the Economy Shop! We’re stuffed to the gills with spirit wear, beautiful handbags, unique vases, and more. Come shop for $3 platters so you can visit those relatives and leave the platter behind! Or pick up a few vases and bring your sick friend beautiful flowers in a gorgeous $2 vase.
We have tons of new games and books for kids and adults. Get off your phone, stop the online shopping, and get into the Economy Shop. Start your holiday shopping early with us while saving time, money, and all the hassle of going to those big crowded malls or staring at a screen. We’re the best place in town to find gifts this holiday season.
Volunteer with us so you can do good AND shop local at the same time. There are a ton of open shifts and we can’t wait to see you.
