Class parent signups and other reminders from the PTO

PTO Class Parent Info

Attention Coolidge School Parents:

We need your help. 2 class parents are needed per class. Responsibilities include: 

  • Being the liaison between teacher and parents
  • Collecting class dues and verifying class email distribution list 
  • Organizing class parties 
  • Volunteering for a shift at the PTO Economy Shop
  • Attending monthly PTO meetings (A mix of daytime in person and evening zoom meetings)

            (One class parent from each class expected to be at every PTO meeting)

  • Attend class field trip (if applicable)
  • Being the liaison between PTO and parents (assisting in getting volunteers for an event, sending an email to class with info from class parents heads) 
  • Creating class raffle baskets for a PTO event   
  • Volunteering for one lunch shift (10:45am-1:20pm) either pizza or bagel lunch (Monday or Wednesday)  
  • Volunteering for teacher appreciation week activities as needed
  • *New this year - if selected as class parent and all requirements are met, you will be automatically selected to volunteer on Field Day (5/23 rain date 5/27)

 

If you are interested in being a Class Parent(K-4), YOU MUST complete steps 1 & 2 by the end of the day on Friday, September 6th  (*5th grade class parents will be chosen from the group of 5th grade reps.)

Click here to register for the Coolidge PTO   Instructions are on the link. By registering for the PTO, you will be included in the Coolidge directory and receive a hard copy.  

 

  1. Submit your name for Class Parent Selection

  1. Class Parent Selection & Class Parent Meeting

Class Parents will be selected by Monday, September 9th. Selected parents will receive an email notification by Monday evening confirming acceptance.  Class Parent Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 12th in person after the PTO meeting and in the evening via zoom. First time class parents are required to attend one of these meetings.

Help Serve Lunch at Coolidge!

Please read the following message from the 5th Grade Committee:

The lunch volunteer sign-up is active! PLEASE sign-up to help keep our Monday/Wednesday PTO-sponsored lunches a success!

And NEW this year - you can keep track of all your sign-ups, right on the PTO website! Click on your profile (on the upper right corner) and click on 'my signup receipts'! In addition, we will be sending reminder emails within 48 hours prior to your assigned day.

  1. Volunteering is EASY!  We've streamlined the process even further!  Plus, there will be an assigned 5th grade representative who will act as manager, volunteering alongside you. Lunchtime volunteering is a great opportunity to help out, and also meet new people in the community.  Plus, it's an opportunity to see your kids while they're still excited to see you!

Reminders

Please pay your annual PTO membership dues and update your family profile in PTOffice. The information in your family profile will be printed in our Coolidge PTO directory, so please be sure to update your information by September 22nd.

August 26th - Online Stores open for Jersey Mike’s, Midland Park Bagels, Wyckoff Pizza and Ice Cream

 

Sept 3rd - Welcome Back Breakfast for Coolidge Staff

 

Sept 5th - First Day of School (Minimum Day) and 5th Grade Kickoff Event (after school)

 

Sept 6th - Minimum Day. Class Parent submissions due.

 

Sept 8th-  Jersey Mike’s, Bagels, Pizza and Ice Cream lunch orders are due at noon. Class Parent selection. 

 

Sept 12th - PTO Meeting, Newcomer’s Tea, and Class Parent orientation

 

Sept 16th - First Day of Jersey Mike’s / Bagel Lunch

 

Sept 18th - First Day of Pizza/Ice Cream lunch
